I met Charlotte one day via email and then in a coffee shop in Davis, CA. She attended UC Davis and it was soon coming to a new beginning where her and her fiance, Anli, would finally live happily ever after…together in the same city. You see, at the time Anli was in Southern CA. And her family in another country all together.
I remember her as being so kind in her speech and manners. Her goals and aspirations and love echoed in that busy coffee shop and I could feel the passion that she had for her future. Specifcally her future with her soon-to-be-husband.
Then they chose me! YAY! 🙂
When I did their engagement session I just loved their connection. You could tell that Anli held her tightly with his love and energy. This was happily ever after.
Their wedding was a dream full of sunshine and bright happy feelings! One of her favorite colors was yellow and sunshine. If sunshine was a color.
We did an intimate first look in the front of Grace Vineyard (which by the way, is an AMAZING all in one venue!). I enjoyed the sights of the house front, inside, and the lush gardens around. It’s a diamond in east Galt.
The ceremony was traditional but they added a tieing of three cords which goes along with the passage in the Bible that says “a cord of three strands is not easily broken” (see Ecclesiastes 4:12) which I just loved. Anli let her braid it up – I think it’s a girl thing 🙂
The reception was certainly a party! WOW! UC Davis peeps know how to party! It was adorable and fun and full of laughter and SUNSHINE!
It was sweet seeing them off – a sweet couple with a sweet future. Congrats you two!
