John and Erin met at a college group retreat in Lake Tahoe through First Baptist Church of Elk Grove. They quickly became friends…which led to dating…which led to a proposal on her birthday a year and a half later. He made a sweet video for her of all the memories they had together since that point.
The tops things they mentioned loving about each other is first, their love for God, second, their caring and kind hearts, and the fact they actually enjoy each others company the whole day! (that’s important!) 🙂
I met them through Erin’s mom. I had done senior photos for her youngest sister. I just love this family so so much and adore them all! So of course I was tickled when they wanted to hire me!
The wedding was gorgeous…it was done by the excellent White Arbor Weddings in Elk Grove. it was the perfect location for a local wedding tucked away in a secluded location.
The deserts were from Freeport Bakery, catering by Rubios, flowers by a friend, and Patty at White Arbor designed the event.
Some of my favorites moments were definitely the toasts and first look. I always tear up…I can’t help it! 🙂 John was just too sweet and embraced her like he couldn’t let go. And who could forget the hundreds of geese (at least it sounded like it!) flying over a few times making themselves known during the middle of the ceremony! ha!
